What is Deep Rush?
Deep Rush is Kalamba Games’ crash title, released in July 2023. It’s the most conceptually distinct crash game in the category: rather than a plane or rocket ascending and crashing, a diver descends into the ocean. Depth replaces altitude; the multiplier climbs as the diver goes deeper; the “crash” event is a shark appearing and ending the dive.
The inversion is more than cosmetic. Watching a figure descend into darkness, with a shark circling the edges of the screen, creates different psychological tension than watching something ascend. At high depths — high multipliers — the visual pressure of the shark hazard is more effective than a plane flying off-screen.
Selectable speed tiers let players choose how fast rounds cycle, independent of the auto cashout target.
How to Play Deep Rush
- Place your bet before each round.
- The diver descends and the multiplier climbs with depth.
- Cash out at any point to lock in the current multiplier as your win.
- Set auto cashout to collect automatically at a target depth/multiplier.
- Choose a speed tier — faster tiers cycle rounds quicker without affecting RTP or crash point distribution.
- If the shark appears before you cash out, the bet is lost.
Selectable Speed Tiers
Most crash games play at a fixed animation speed. Deep Rush offers multiple tiers, letting players choose between a slower, more atmospheric experience and a faster, higher-volume session. The mathematics are identical across tiers — only the animation rate changes.
The Shark Hazard
The shark is the crash event visualised as an active threat rather than a neutral failure state. As multipliers climb into the 10x–100x range, the shark becomes more prominently visible at the screen edges. This is visual design serving the game’s tension mechanics — there’s no separate “shark bonus” or random shark feature. The crash point is determined before the round begins.
RTP and Fairness
Deep Rush runs at 96.32% RTP (3.68% house edge). This sits between the 96% floor of XCrash and Speed Crash and the 97% standard set by Aviator and Spaceman.
The game does not use a provably fair system. The RNG is certified by standard testing agencies, but results cannot be independently verified by players in the way provably fair games allow.
Availability
Deep Rush is available at casinos carrying the Kalamba Games catalogue. Kalamba has regulated licences and growing distribution, but coverage is more limited than major providers like Pragmatic Play or BGaming.
Verdict
Deep Rush earns a place in the crash genre’s upper tier on concept alone. The underwater descent mechanic and shark hazard are the most original visual design in the category, and the selectable speed tiers are a practical feature that most games lack. The 96.32% RTP means it gives a little more to the house than the best alternatives, and the lack of provably fair verification is a gap. For players who’ve exhausted the standard crash game visual palette, Deep Rush is the most interesting alternative available.
