About Play’n GO

Play’n GO is a Swedish game developer founded in 2004 in Växjö. They are best known for Book of Dead — one of the most widely played slots in regulated markets — and for a consistent approach to mobile-first game design that predated most of the industry’s shift toward mobile.

The studio has built a reputation for high production values and mechanical inventiveness. Their slots catalogue spans hundreds of titles, and in 2025 they entered the crash genre with two titles that introduced a mechanic no other crash game provider had attempted.

Crash Games

Play’n GO’s crash portfolio introduces CrashBack — a re-entry mechanic that allows players to stake back into an active round after cashing out early, at a higher risk/reward position.

  • Miner Donkey Rider (March 2025) — Mining theme, CrashBack, 10,000x maximum multiplier
  • Bucking Rider (April 2025) — Bull-riding arcade theme, CrashBack, 5,000x maximum multiplier

Both games run at 96.2% RTP. CrashBack is the differentiating feature: no other mainstream crash game offers post-cashout re-entry into a live round.

What Makes Play’n GO Different

Play’n GO builds for mobile first and retrofits to desktop — the inverse of how most studios approach development. This results in games that perform consistently across devices without the performance degradation that affects many desktop-first titles on mobile.

Their approach to new game categories follows the same pattern as their slots work: they don’t enter a space until they have a mechanical idea that adds something the existing titles don’t offer. CrashBack reflects that discipline.
